The OA, Where have you been Brit?

The OA is a mystery drama series directed by Zal Batmanglij and starred by Brit Marling that debuted on Netflix on late 2016. The series follows the story of a young woman named Prairie Johnson (Marling) who resurfaces after having been missing for seven years. Prairie now calls herself "The OA".

In the first chapter we can see how the protagonist (Prairie) of the series suddenly appears after 7 years she was gone. The news hits the headlines and everybody wonders where she was and what she was doing during the whole time. Prairie finds herself in and environment where her parents overprotect her, and her denial to share her experiences with her parents makes things worse.

Something you get to know throughtout the first episode is that she is determined to find "Homer". For that purpose she gathers a eclectic group of people that will hear her story night by night in a house in construction in the urban complex where she lives.

On February 8, 2017, Netflix renewed the series for a second season, "Part II", that was released on March 22, 2019. Unfortunately, even though the series was meant to last 5 seasons (or 5 parts), on August 2019 it was cancelled by the network.
